Thank You for your interest in joining Online SongMasters.  We are always searching for the best musicians possible to join our site.  We are currently in beta testing and training mode and hope to be up and running in the spring of 2010.

Our session musicians must have a strong work ethic as well as a personal commitment to provide a quality product in a timely manner.  Applicants also must have good communicative and internet skills as well as an ability to provide high quality audio tracks in an uncompressed file format to the client.  This implies that you have some sort of home recording work station and a reliable high speed internet service.  We do have a vetting process to make sure our session players can meet these basic standards.  Please look over the vetting process PDF here.

All session players that work for Online SongMasters will be paid based on a commission system.   All session musicians enjoy a high commission rate of %70 from their sales.  Online SongMasters is a division of SongMastering.com LLC and will be required to send all U.S. employees a 1099 form at the end of the year as independent contractors.  Non-U.S. session musicians will not be required to receive a 1099 and are welcome to apply also.

Also, please note that you will be prompted to upload an MP3 at the end of this questionnaire.  This is where you can send us a song that best represents your musical skills.

To ensure you are qualified to be a part of Online Songmasters please ask yourself a few questions before you apply.   If you can answer 'Yes' to most of these question than you may be ready to join.

1. I have ample experience interacting with other musicians online ?
2. I have my own DAW and have no problem recording 24 bit/ 96 Khz audio files in a timely manner  ?
3. I have a high speed internet connection and would be able to download and upload large files with no restrictions ?
4. I have enough real life studio, performance, and/or educational experience to be an attractive hire to a perspective client ?
5. I have enough internet communication skills to be able to interact professionally and directly with perspective customers as well as site project managers and administrators using the site's PM system (private message system).
6. I am not afraid to ask for help if I run onto problems ?
7. I understand, if hired, that I will earn %70 commission and that I will be considered an independent contractor and required to receive an 1099 form at the end of each tax year.
8. I have read through the contents of this site to the best of my ability and have a good understanding of what is expected of me ?
